Amra Suryamukhi, a socio-cultural organization, will accord a reception to poet Syed Shamsul Huq on completion of his 56 years in writing at Poet Sufia Kamal Auditorium of National Museum at 5:00pm today.

With Supreme Court Ainjibi Samity (SCBA) president Barrister Amir-ul-Islam in the chair, the reception will be attended by National Professor Kabir Chowdhury as the chief guest.

The reception will be addressed by academic Dr Arefin Siddique, folklorist Dr Shamsuzzaman Khan, dramatist Ramendu Mazumder, artist Professor Hashem Khan, former ambassador M Shafiullah, poet Rafique Azad, poet Rabiul Husayn, singer Fatematuz Zohra, former MP Hafez Ahmed Mazumder, author Ata Sarkar and journalist and dramatist Anisul Huq.

Besides, a musical evening will be held on the occasion where singers Rebeka Sultana, Sultana Chowdhury, Yasmin Mushtari, Kalpana Anam, Dr Musharrat Shabnam and Nilufer Banu Lily will render songs.
