Outlaw killed in Pabna crossfire UNB, Pabna An outlaw leader was killed in an encounter between his cohorts and a joint team of RAB and police at Ramjibonpur in Sujanagar upazila Monday afternoon. The dead was identified as Badal alias Nabo, 35, chief of newly formed banned outfit Maobadi Sangha Bangladesh and regional commander of Purba Bangla Sarbahara Party. He was an accused of 25 cases including nine murder cases, RAB sources said. A RAB source said a joint team of RAB and police cordoned off Ramjibonpur ground where the outlawed members were holding a clandestine meeting at about 4pm. Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the extremists started firing on them that triggered a gun battle. "All the sangha members managed to escape except Badal. He caught in the crossfire and died on the spot," said a spot account of the shootout. Two police members were also injured in the encounter. An one-barrel gun, one shutter gun, one light gun (LG) and two bullets were also recovered from the scene.
