Where Bangladesh is Cricket going?

I was looking at the scorecard of Second innings of Bangladesh-New Zealand Second Test just concluded at the Basin Reserve.

Nobody wants (or even dreams) that our guys, whom the local press fondly call "Tigers(!)" would play some magic games but surely everybody wants that the boys would at least play sensibly as a Test playing team. But the result(s), all the times, just belie the hope.

A look at the scorecards only testifies that there is a deep crisis in the team management as well as in game planning. Hence, the serious question is -- How many more years this crisis is to continue? 2009 or 2019? It calls for serious soul-searching to set things aright - and now.

If the cricket bosses of the country fail to do that then, I am afraid, there is no hope at all even in the distant future.

Appeal for British Visa

We are very much interested to study at Bar-at-Law in the United Kingdom but the British High Commission in Bangladesh has refused Visa a number of times, which has despaired our heart and mind. To this, we are badly in need of the kind co-operation and compassion of Anwar Chowdhury, a Bangladeshi born British citizen, the High Commissioner of the UK in Bangladesh.

We firmly believe that he is the man who can help us reach the UK to study law that we can build our career.
