Rice prices have come down by Taka one or two in northern districts due to adequate supply of rice in the markets.

The price of Guti Sarna reduced further today to Taka 29 from Taka 30, Lomba Sarana to Taka 32 from Taka 34. The price of Najirshail, Paijam and Jirashail has also come down at retail markets.

Meanwhile, mill owners and rice traders today held a meeting at Naogaon Army Camp and discussed issues to keep the rice price stable.

Commander of the camp Lt Col Shamim Ahmed urged the rice traders to ensure adequate supply in the market instead of stockpiling.
