Some 301 lawyers yesterday expressed concern over the health condition of Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina who is undergoing trial in extortion case and fell sick in the dock on Monday.

In a statement, the lawyers demanded immediate release of Hasina and withdrawal of all the 'false' cases against her.

They called upon the government to take necessary steps for her proper treatment.

The signatories to the statement include Shafiq Ahmed, Sahara Khatun, Yusuf Hossain Humayun, AFM Mejbahuddin, Samsuddin Chowdhury Manik, Momtazuddin Ahmed, Samsul Huda Manik, Abdul Mannan Khan, MK Rahman, AM Aminuddin, Enayetur Rahim, Nurul Islam Sujan, Mahbub Ali, Bashir Ahmed and Momtazuddin Ahmed Mehedi.
