A BRAC University student was arrested with two bottles of illegal liquors by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) from the city's Banani area yesterday afternoon.

Sajjadur Rahman Reaz, son of Mesbahuddin of 773 North Kafrul of the city was arrested from Road No. 5 at Banani at about 1:15pm with the illegal liquors.

RAB sources said being suspicious, Mostafizur Rahman, a sub-inspector of RAB-1, challenged Reaz when he was going to his house through the Road No. 5 at Banani. After searching his university bag, the RAB sub-inspector recovered two bottles of foreign-made whisky.

Later, Reaz was arrested and taken to Gulshan Police Station where a case (No. 106) against him was filed.
