A farmer committed suicide by hanging himself, as he failed to bear the burden of households following the recent floods at Satkoya village in Chalitadanga union of flood hit Kazipur upazila in Sirajganj district on Thursday moning .

The victim was identified as Amir Hossain, 47, of the village.Victim's family member sources said that, failing to bear the burden of livelihood, Amir ended his life by hanging himself from ceiling of his bed room, as he had been facing crisis since flooding. Police recovered the body and sent it to Sirajganj Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy. A UD case was lodged with Kazipur thana in this connection.
