The New Nation - Internet Edition

Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) commissioned an art gallery at its Head Office at 67 Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka on 18 December 2007. Paintings of renowned and emerging artists of the country will be displayed in this gallery. This art gallery will have exhibitions all the year round to promote young artists of the country. Part of proceeds from the sale of the art work will be donated to charity. This art gallery manifests the promise of Standard Chartered Bank to be the right partner.

Osman Morad, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh and renowned artist Oayyum Chowdhury inaugurated the art gallery on 18 December 2007. Paintings of Ouyyum Chowdhury, Rafiqun Nabi, Kuhu, Jamal, Nisar Hossain, Fareha Zeba and Iftikhar Uddin Ahmed are displayed in the inaugural exhibition. This art gallery will be promoting young and emerging artists of the country and will organize painting exhibitions all the year round.
