A loan agreement of US 200 million dollars was signed in Dhaka yesterday between Bangladesh Government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to finance Dhaka Water Supply Sector Development Programme.

M Aminul Islam Bhuiyan, Secretary of the Economic Relations Division (ERD), and Hua Du, Country Director of the ADB, signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.

Senior officials of the concerned Ministries and agencies of the Government and the ADB were present at the signing ceremony.
