A neglected road in Feni

I, on behalf of myself and the people of my locality, beg to draw kind attention of the Ministry of LGRD to the following facts and figures and request them to do the needful in greater public interest.

The Seven thousand five hundred metre Koraish Munshi -Kadra Road, Via Mehdipur connects two important union parishads under greater Noakhali districts Rajapur UP under P.S. Dagun Bhuyan, Dist.- Feni and Kadra under P.S. Senbag, Dist. Noakhali

Rajapur portion of the road begins at Korasih Munshi Bazar and ends at west-end of Mehdipur and Kadra portion of the road begins at Kadra village and ends at east -end of Jamalpur village.

Rajapur UP portion of the road popularly, known to the local as "Koraish Munshi- Mehdipur Road" falls within the administrative jurisdiction of Feni District. It measures about 2000 meters. It may be taken into development scheme preferentially considering its shortness of length and cost of construction involved.

Kadra UP portion of the road is known to the local people as "Kadra-Jamalpur Road". It falls within administrative jurisdiction of Noakhali District. It measures about 5000 meters. Considering its length and cost involvement it may me taken for implementation after completion of the Rajapur portion of the road.

The villages that are served by this road are Kadra, Dumurua, Satbaria, Magura, Jaynagar, Neezshenbagh and Jamalpur under Senbagh P.S. and Mehdipur, Batshiree, Abdul Nabi, Jadabpur, Latifpur, Sundarpur, under Dagun Bhuiyan P.S.

Hundreds of people pass on this road every day and the movement of people becomes heavy on the market days of Koraish Munshi, Bazar.

Motor vehicles such as Bus, Trucks, Trucktors, Micro-Cabs, CNGs as well as Rickshaws ply on this road regularly; but during rains it becomes difficult for these vehicles to ply conveniently causing great sufferings to the people.

Walking on foot becomes hazardous due to mud and logging of water at different points. The students studying at different educational institutions and using this road face much difficulty during rainy days.

Transportation of farm products to different marketing centers is much hampered due to sick condition of the road.

I would therefore request the Ministry of LGRD and the concerned authorities under ministry of LGRD to take necessary steps so that the sufferings of the people are mitigated by development of the aforesaid road into a pucca one by enlistment of the same under development scheme of LGRD, for which the people of the locality shall remain ever grateful.
