A man was gunned down by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Haripur, frontiern in Thakurgaon district early on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Rezabul Haque (45), son of Mamataj Ali village Dangipara in Haripur Upazila of the district.

Local people and BDR said when Rezabur Hoque along with his associates went near the pillar No 314 of the border BSF troops of Khurka camp sprayed bullets on them killing Rezabur on the spot.

Later BSF took away the body to their territory. Dinajpur Rifle Battalion 14 confirmed the incident and said that they have sent a protest letter to BSF.
