Veteran communist leader comrade Nurunnabi died at 10:00am at Community Hospital in the city yesterday.

He was 83. He left behind his wife, two sons, one daughter and many well-wishers. He passed most of the times of his life for the contribution of left and progressive works.

President of Workers Party Rashed Khan Menon, General Secretary Bimal Biswas, Haider Akbar Khan Rano and Nurul Hasan, President of Communist Party Manjurul Ahsan Khan, General Secretary Muzahidul Islam Selim, JSD (Inu) President Hasanul Haque Inu, Shirin Akhter, Convenor of BSD Khalequzzaman, among others went to the hospital to see the deceased.

The dead body of Nurunnabi took in front of Workers Party office later and on behalf the party he was given guard of honour.
