DSS stops realizing loan installment in 12 dists till March 2008

UNB, Dhaka

Department of Social Service (DSS) has suspended realisation of installment of its micro credit programme in 12 cyclone-hit districts from December 2007 to March 2008. The department has taken the decision in the wake of huge loss of lives and property by devastating cyclone Sidr recently, said a handout today.

The districts are Barisal, Barguna, Pirojpur, Patuakhali, Jhalakati, Bhola, Shariatpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Khulna, Bagerhat and Satkhira
