CHANDPUR, Dec 4: Some 150 sacks of substandard fertiliser were seized from a godown at Doshani Bazar in Matlab North upazila on Wednesday night. Acting on a tip off, police raided the godown of businessman Lokman Hossain and seized the fertiliser. None was arrested in this connection as Lokman Hossain fled the scene sensing the presence of police. A case was filed with the local thana. Earlier, police recovered 134 sacks of substandard fertiliser from the godown of Lokman and a nearby pond at Chhengerchar Bazar in the Upazila, reports UNB.
