Bonpara Poura Chairman under Baraigram Upazila Md Sana Ullah Nur Babu was suspended temporarily by a notification on November 13 of a Senior Assistant Secretary of LGRD due to a extortion case against him. Md Moznu Akanda of the village Kusmoil under Baraigram Upazila filed a case with Baraigram thana on September 19, 2002 under section1 43, 117, 149, 385, 427, 114 against Md Sana Ullah Nur Babu. After investigation, Baraigram thana police submitted a charge sheet before Magistrate court. The charge-hearing was held and finally it was taken by court on March 13, 2006.
