A police constable name Jahangir Alam, who was on duty in Netrakona Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, was placed under suspension recently on charge of taking bribe from the relatives of an accused of a criminal case. Police control room sources here said, the police constable was captured by the members of an intelligence agency while he was taking bribe in the court premises.

Later, the intelligence agency members handed him over to the court police inspector. Within a short time after receiving the report, Police Super Netrakona Sakawath Hussain issued an official order placing the police constable under suspension, the sources said.
