Sayeed Khokon, AL Dhaka City organizing secretary who had opted for Progressing Democratic Party today met with acting general secretary Sayed Ashraful Islam at his NAM residence.

Sources close to the meeting told UNB that Ashraf counseled him to have patience in view of a strong group led by party's organizing secretary Saber Hossain Chowdhury insisting on his expulsion from the party.

Vacillating Khokan started attending Awami League central office since November 16 despite objection from the followers of Saber Chowdhury.

Defeated in the last Dhaka City mayoral election to BNP's Sadeq Hossain Khoka, Sayeed Khokon is aspiring the party nomination in the upcoming mayoral election, said the party insiders.
