A weeklong theater festival-2007 began on Sunday at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) auditorium of Dhaka University (DU).

DU vice-chancellor (VC) Prof SMA Faiz inaugurated the festival as the chief guest. The Department of Theatre and Music of the university organised the festival.

Selected works of 13 famous playwrights from Bangladesh and abroad will be presented at the festival.

The plays are Kayed-E-Hayat, Nemesis, Desire Under The Elms, The Chair, Waiting For Godot, Bratto, The Lesson, Phaedra, The Two Executioners, No Man's Land, Look Back In Anger and Kabi will be staged at the festival.
