Shankhagatha, a radio documentary of Bangladesh Betar Transcription Service received this year's special jury prize by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU).

Besides, the Bangladesh Betar also got a special award for another function 'Save our Earth' broadcast in its world service.

In the Shankhagatha, a 14-minute radio documentary by assistant director Aktar Jahan, depicted the history and evolution of Shanka industry, it's tradition and present condition.

In the external broadcast category, the 12 and half-minute documentary 'Save our Earth' by Deputy Director Shanaz Begum got special award. The objective of the documentary is to create awareness among the people about devastation in the agri based Bangladesh due to climate change.
