12 affected families get Tk 5,000 each in Madaripur

Twelve cyclone-hit families of Sadar upazila got Tk 5,000 each as part of government rehabilitation programme. The district control room said 32 people died in the cyclone. But unofficial sources put the death toll at 37 and more than 300 injured.

Industries Adviser Geeteara Shafiya Chowdhury handed over the money among the cyclone victims at Mostafapur union parishad office in Sadar upazila Saturday.
