A flag meeting between the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and the Border Security Forces (BSF) of India was held at Bhomra immigration checkpost in the district on Wednesday.

BDR sources said the 12-member Bangladesh delegation led by 41 Battalion chief Colonel Abu Mohammad Saidur Rahman and the 12 members BSF team led by 191 Kallyani battalion chief Commandant Ashim Kumar Bhias.

The meeting discussed matters relating to border incidents, killing of Bangladeshi nationals in BSF firing, drug smuggling, intrusion, trafficking of children and women.

Colonel Saidur Rahman said the discussion was very cordial and fruitful.
