A three-day long film festival was held at the central auditorium of Jahangirnagar University (JU) from Saturday in order to raise fund to help Anika Sultana Alo, a student of History Department.

The History Department in collaboration with 'AM Scholar Home' and 'Youth Against Hunger' arranged the festival.

A total of 12 films including the Daruchini Deep, Dhamal and Dhol; Aha, bhul Bulia and Harry Pottar and the Order of Phoenix and Laga Churi May Dug, Ishk and Transformer were screened in the festival.

It may be mentioned that Anika has been suffering form IGA Nephropathy for a long time. She needs twelve lakh Taka for better treatment. Her family is not able to bear the expenses.
