An alleged mugger was arrested along with a pistol from city's Pallabi area Wednesday noon.

The arrested youth was identified as Golam Mostofa, 18. Police said they chased three snatchers after they snatched away three mobile sets and Tk 15,000 in cash from "Binimoy Telecom Service" at section-12, Block-D, Road-2.

Later, they managed to catch only Mostafa. After searching Mostofa's body, police recovered a foreign made pistol from his possession. However, police could not manage to recover the looted money and mobile phone sets as two cohorts of Mostofa fled away with the booty.
