Low over Bay intensifies BSS, Dhaka The depression over southeast Bay and adjoining areas remained practically stationary, intensified into a deep depression over the same area. It was centered about 1,360 km south of Chittagong Port, 1,270 km south of Cox's Bazar Port and 1,385 km south-southeast of Mongla Port at 6 AM yesterday, said a Met office press release. It is likely to intensify further and move in a northwesterly direction. The maximum sustained wind speed within 48 km of the depression center is about 50 km per hour rising to 60 km per hour in gusts/squalls. Sea will remain rough. Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Mongla have been advised to keep hoisted distant cautionary signal number one.
