The city experiences huge arrival of rickshaws from other districts after Eid-ul-Fitr, which has slowed the city life. The motorised vehicles cannot run on normal speed on those roads and streets where rickshaws have access.

As a result, ours working hours are lost in transit. But it should not be allowed to continue for long.

The major drawback of the rickshaw pullers is that they try to keep entire portion of roads under their occupation they ply. As a result, it becomes difficult for the motorised transport drivers to find their way. For getting rid therefrom, we think that banning of rickshaws on some selected roads is not enough Reservation of certain portion of roads for these kinds of vehicles may be useful for both of the rickshaw pullers and us. Dhaka City Corporation and Metropolitan Police may consider our proposal.
