Police arrested three dacoits from Basabati area of the district on Monday night.

Police said, they arrested three dacoits while fleeing with looting gold ornaments worth Taka one lakh and taka in cash from house of Nitai Das after committing dacoity.

The arrested dacoits were identified as Suman Hawlader, 25, Kanudaskathi village under Rajapur upazila of Jhalkathi district , Iqbal Talukder, 26, of Sheikh Para area of Pirojpur district and Manik Kha, 28, of Morelganj upazila of Bagerhat district.
