Bangladesh join Trans-Asian Railway Network Agreement UNB, Dhaka Bangladesh signed an "Intergovernmental Agreement on the Trans-Asian Railway Network" on Friday at the UN Headquarters in New York. Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ismat Jahan signed the agreement on behalf of Bangladesh government. The Trans-Asian Railway Network Agreement is a project of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) to create a transcontinental railway network across Europe and Asia.
