Huge smuggled fertilizer seized in cox's bazar Bangladesh Navy Ship Modhumati, while in routine patrol Sunday, apprehended 400 bags of urea fertiliser from a power driven country boat MV Earmukh near Teknaf border in Cox's Bazaar, says a Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) press release. The fertiliser was allegedly being smuggled out of the country. Meanwhile in another operation the Bangladesh Navy's anti-smuggling section deployed in the Karnaphuli River and its adjacent areas seized 150 bags of urea fertiliser being smuggled out. The total value of the fertiliser including the boat is about Tk. 42,00,000/-. The boats along with 08 crews and the seized fertilizer were handed over to Teknaf and Patenga police stations respectively for legal action.
