President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed returned home tonight after a weeklong visit to the United States (US).

Law and Information Adviser Barrister Mainul Hosein and Finance Adviser Dr AB Mirza Azizul Islam received the President at the VVIP lounge of the Zia International Airport (ZIA) as an Emirates Airlines flight brought him back home.

Dean of the diplomatic corps and Saudi Ambassador in Dhaka Abdullah M Al-Obaid Al-Namla, US Charge d'Affaires Geeta Pasi, cabinet secretary Ali Imam Majumdar, Navy chief Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam, Air Force chief Air Marshal SM Ziaur Rahman, and senior civil and military officials were present to welcome him back home.
