The foundation stone of the two- storied modern building of Gaibandha Shilpakala Academy (GSA) was inaugurated in the town on Saturday.

A discussion meeting was also held on the occasion with Abu Rafa M. Arif, NDC, and member secretary of the GSA in the chair. Deputy Commissioner (DC) addressed it as the chief guest. Abul Bayes Miah, ADC (general) and Quazi Shafiqul Islam, designer of the building, also spoke on the occasion Later, the DC laid the foundation stone of the GSA. The building is being contracted at a cost of Tk. 1.67 crore, sources said.
