One passenger was killed and five others injured in a road accident at Roumari Upazila of the district yesterday (October 29) evening.

The victim was identified as Hossain Ali, 32, of the Roumari area. According to eyewitness sources, a Roumari-bound loaded truck from Jamalpur district collided with a passenger trolley at Roumari upazila at about 6.00 PM. Hossain Ali died on the spot while five other passengers were injured. The injured persons had been given treatment at Roumari Health complex.
