114 DU teachers demand ban on Jamaat UNB, Dhaka Some 114 Dhaka University teachers Monday demanded a ban on Jamaat-e-Islam as a political party. In a statement, the DU teachers also urged the government to bring the Jamaat leaders to justice for their crimes during the 1971 liberation. The signatories to the statement included Mohammad Samad Nurur Rahman Khan, Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Prof Akhtaruzzaman, Sheikh Abdus Salam, Amol Krishna Halder, Pradip Roy, Dr Sharif Akhter Zaman and Dr M Nurul Islam and Dr Aminur Rashid.
