DU admission:13000 forms sold on 1st day
Huge rush of students at Janata Bank, Dhaka University Branch at TSC, to collect admission forms on Sunday. Banglar Chokh DU Correspondent Distribution and submission of first-year Dhaka University honours admission forms for the sessions 2007-2008 began yesterday, with the sale of over 13,000 forms. University public relations department said a total of 13,044 admission forms, at Tk 250 each, were sold in four units on the first day. The highest 4,500 forms was sold in Ka Unit (Sciences Faculty), while 3,431 forms in Gha Unit (general unit), 2,863 forms in Kha Unit (Arts and Social Sciences faculties) and 2,250 forms in Ga Unit (Business Studies Faculty). Admission forms in four units are being sold at three nationalised commercial bank DU branches. Kha and Gha units at Janata Bank TSC branch, while Ga unit at Sonali Bank Registrar's Building branch and Ka unit at Agrani Bank Curzon Hall branch. Distribution and submission of forms will continue until November 18. Admission tests will begin from November 30. The test examination will begin with Ga unit under Business Studies Faculty on November 30. While, Ka unit under Science Faculty, Kha unit under Arts Faculty, and Gha unit (transfer) under Social Sciences Faculty will be held on December 7, January 11 and January 4 respectively.
