Khulna pile up 274 Sports Reporter Barisal Division took the command over Dhaka Division when they made 215 for the loss of four wickets in the first innings on the second day of the four-dayer match of the Ispahani Mirzapur Tea 9th National Cricket League at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Saturday. Earlier, Dhaka Division were bundled out for 157 in the first innings on the first day play. Barisal Division made a solid start as Hannan Sarkar and skipper Shahriar Nafees, the two openers of Barisal contributed together 67 runs in the opening stand. Hannan Sarkar knocked the team's highest of 85 off 273 balls. He hit four fours in his 359-minute innings. Imran Ahmed and Shahriar Nafees added 35 and 33 runs respectively to the Barisal total. Mohammad Ashraful of Dhaka bagged a pair of wickets conceding 57 runs while Mosharrof Hossain and Mohammad Sharif took one wicket each for 33 and 39 runs respectively. Nasiruddin Faruque and Raisul Islam were at the crease on 27 and 14 before the two umpires drew the bails for the second day. A superb 127 by Imrul Kayes guided Khulna Division to pile up a comfortable 274 in the first innings against Sylhet Division on the second day of the four-dayer match at the Narayanganj Osmani Stadium. The first day play was abandoned due to wet outfield of the stadium. Imrul Kayes used 208 balls in his 275-minute innings, which was laced with 16 fours and two sixes. Shakib Al Hasan hit a fine 59 off 66 balls amid seven fours while skipper Habibul Bashar made 33 off 64 balls including six fours. Spinner Enamul Haque (Junior) of Sylhet Division bowled a notable spell and finished as 25.1-2-65-5. Rashedur Rahman and Tapash Bisya got two wickets conceding 33 and 61 runs respectively. Later, Sylhet Division scored six for the loss of none at the close of the second day play. Meanwhile, the second day play betwen Rajshahi Division and Chittagong Division was abandoned due to wet outfield of the Bir Sreshtha Shaheed Ruhul Amin Stadium. Earlier, Rajshahi Division made 191 for the loss of nine in the first innings on the first day play.
