A sub-inspector of Patkelghata thana was today closed to the police lines on charge of taking bribe. Police said sub-inspector Humayun Kabir arrested Yusuf Ali and Mofizul Islam on Friday without any written complain against them. Later, they were set free on payment of Tk 10,000 as bribe. The matter reached ASP Deen Mohammad who immediately investigated and proved it.

Police super Abdullah-Hel-Baqui said Kabir was closed. Further action will be taken against him after departmental inquiry.
