A day-long workshop on youth development held at the city office of Bangladesh Open University (BOU) on Saturday.

Speakers at the workshop discussed the progress of implementation of the 8th annual review meeting of the Commonwealth Youth Programme recently held in Brunei Darussalam.

Vice chancellor of BOU Professor Dr M Farid Ahmed inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest while director general of the Department of Youth Development Mohammad Ismail Hossain was present as special guest.

With dean of School of Agriculture and Rural Development (SARD) Mohammad Abu Taleb in the chair, the workshop was addressed, among others, by Professor Dr Mohammad Shafiul Alam, Dr Mohammad Shah Alam Sarker and Dr Abu Sadeque Mohammad Selim.

The BOU VC informed the participants that the BOU has been promoting youth development education in cooperation with the Department of Youth Development.

About 30 experts from ministry of youth and sports, Department of Youth Development, and BOU took part in the workshop.
