Leading nuclear scientist of the country Dr Wajed Mia is likely to see her wife former prime minister and Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina, now detained in the makeshift sub-jail on the parliament complex, today.

DIG Prisons Major Shamsul Haidar Siddiqui told BSS that Dr Wajed obtained permission from concerned authorities to meet Sheikh Hasina.

Dr. Wajed will meet Sheikh Hasina for the first time since her arrest on July 16.

Dr Wajed earlier obtained permission to see his wife but could not meet her due to his ailment.
