Tk 40.62 lakh distributed among 2,708 in Kurigram BSS, Kurigram Taka 40.62 lakh were distributed as allowances among 2,708 insolvent freedom fighters in the district from July to September during the current fiscal. District Social Welfare Department sources said during the current year, a total of 383 freedom fighters of Sadar upazila, 581 freedom fighters in Ulipur upazila, 220 in Chilmari upazila, 147 in Roumari upazila, 42 in Rajibpur upazila, 247 in Rajarhat upazila, 273 Fulbari upazila, 542 in Bhurangamari upazila, 372 in Nageshawri upazila are getting monthly allowances of Taka 500.
