Organised by Bangladesh Shishu Academy of Chuadanga District office, the National Daughter Child Day 07, was oberved here recently.

A grand children's rally carrying banner and festoons led by Shishu Academy Assistant Director Afsana Fardas and another rally of Bangladesh Partnership Forum (BDPC) led by Rexona Khatun, Coordinator BDPC paraded the main roads of the town to mark the day's programme.

The daughter children marched and chanted slogans like 'stop discrimination and repression on child-daughter.

After the rally paintings and essay competition, chaired by Prof Malaka Haque Makhan were held at Adarsha Girls High School premises.

A live discussion on stoppage of discrimination of daughter children and woman was held at Adrasha Girls High School premises with Waliallah Siddique in the chair. Former principal of Chuadanga Govt Women's College Prof Siddiqur Rahman was present as chief guest.

The meeting was addressed among others, by Chief Guest Prof Siddiqur Rahman Prof Malaka Haque Makhan, Roufun Nahar Rina, BDPC Programme Officer Furqan Ali and Rexona Khatun.

The speakers stressed the need for stopping discrimination and violence against the Daughter Children. The discussants emphasised to give equal treatment at all levels of our socio-economic literacy and cultural fields bringing congenial atmosphere.
