The New Nation - Internet Edition

I fought for the freedom of my motherland from the colonial rule of (West) Pakistan in 1971. My area of battlefield was Bauphal Thana under Patuakhali District in Sector No. 9 of which Major (retired) M.A.Jalil was the Sector Commander. The country being freed, I passed few years as a Crime Reporter in different newspapers in Dhaka and thereafter returned home and built a project titled Balaka Project at my village of East Shaneswar under Bauphal Thana. It includes a rice mill, a poultry firm and a dairy farm.

However, to run the project, we need electricity, which could be possible subject to the erection of two electric poles, and 11-meter long electric wire. If the electricity connection is given, my dwelling house and the mosque as well will get the benefits. For this, I met the General Manager of Rural Electrification Board (REB), Patuakhali. He assured me of looking after the matter within the quickest possible time but sadly there is no development as yet.

To this, I request the concerned authority to connect my project, the dwelling house and the mosque with the electricity as early as possible.
