Loadshedding has caused great sufferings to the people of Gouripur Upazila of Mymensingh district. It is a regular feature in Garipur town. It occurs many times a day and even at midnight here.

When the loadshedding occurs at mid-day domestic life becomes painful due to serve heat of the rooms.

The people of the town cannot sleep for this. The office, school, college goers have to get up early. As a result, they have to sleep four to five hours at night and can not work properly in their respective institutes. They feel sleepy.

Besides, for want of good supply of electricity, the students become the worst sufferers. Patients, shopkeepers suffer a lot.

The stores, residences of Gouripur down town are using local emergency generators till 11 PM during the power outage . At midnight the whole Gourpur remain dark due to power failure. So the people of Gouripur want uninterrupted power supply.
