Vow to foil conspiracy against execution of judiciary separation

The members of Barisal district Bar Association calling immediate execution of the separation of judiciary vowed to foil any conspiracy against the implementation of independent judicial system of the country and condemned the activities and attitude of the administrative cadres against it.

On other hand Golam Masud Bablu, secretary of Barisal district Bar Association, alleged that district administration locked the room of additional district magistrate court on Monday afternoon.

The room was selected to use as the court of chief metropolitan magistrate of Barisal under the Barisal district judgeship after the separation of judiciary from next November 01, he added.

However district magistrate and deputy commissioner was not available for comment. But staffs of his office said the room was locked after removing the files and goods to repair and renovate it.

On other hand a meeting held at Barisal district Bar Association auditorium on Sunday afternoon the lawyers of Barisal said independence of judiciary from administration is a constitutional binding and aim of separation of it from administration will ensure protection of the basic rights of the citizens.

The meeting was presided over by Advocates Dilip Ghose, president, and addressed by Syed Golam Masud Bablu, secretary, Enayet Pir Khan, Talukdar Muhammad Yunus, Shakhawat Hossain Jummon, Kamrul Ahsan Shahin, Majibur Rahman, former president and secretaries, Fazlur Rahman, Majibur Rahman Nantu, Abdus Sattar, Kazi Manirul Hassan, Syed Waliullah Saju and other members.

They said that those who protesting the separation of judiciary from administration, are violating the constitution, contempt the Supreme Court of the country and doing misconduct by breaking the discipline of public service rules

The lawyers further added that administrative cadres at one side always used political governments for the sake of their interest, irregularities and corruption, and on other side blamed political governments for interfering on their duties when the question of transparency and accountability rose.

Separation of judiciary from administration from November 01, 2007 is the achieving of the long mass movement and would be beneficial for the citizens by implementation a constitutional right, the added.

Before formal starting of the meeting, judges of Barisal district judgeship led by district judge Md. Sahidullah, exchange views and greetings with the members of the Barisal district bar association.
