Two activists of Purba Banglar Communist Party (Lal Pataka) were slaughtered Sunday night allegedly by their rivals.

The victims were identified as Akter Hossain Mallik of Chak Birampur village and Babu of Ishanmari village of Mirpur upazila. Locals said unidentified assailants took them to Malihad Tututala Padma Beel and slaughtered them at about 10pm.
