Sujog Chai, Badha Noy-Karbo Ami Bishwa Joy" with this slogan Manikganj Udjjeebok Forum sponsored by Hunger Project, Bangladesh observed the National Girl Child Day recently.

To mark the day the organiser arranged a discussion at Manikganj Government Mohila College hallroom. The college Principal Professor Altaf Hossain spoke as chief guest with Udjjeebok Forum, Manikganj convener Romeja Akter Khan Mahin in the chair. The function was addressed among others by special guest Assistant Commissioner Md. Hedayet Islam Mondal, Adv. Dipak Gose, Adv. Zamilur Rashid Khan, Naree Netree Laxmi Chaterjee, VTR MSR Dolan Champa and Abdullah Al Murad Selim.

About 100 women including school & college going girls participated in the discussion.

Speakers said, we have to turn out the discrimination between female-male. And on this they should come out from social superstition. In this regard male should assist the female.
