A team of the Drug Control Department (DCD) arrested one person with 10 kg of hashish from Palbari crossing in the town on Thursday, Police sources said.

The arrested was identified as Mozaffar Hossain, 28, son of Mofizuddin of Dharmapur village under Fulbari upazila in Kurigram district.

The sources said the DCD team nabbed Mozaffar on suspicion when he got off a passenger bus with a bag at the crossing. Later on, the members of the team found the 10kg of hashish after searching the bag.
