Ten persons were injured and about 200 kutcha houses, huge trees and standing crops were damaged by devastating storm at Durgapur, Golabaria, Bedgram Borashi, Sonakair, Manikhdhah Modhupur, Gobra under Gopalganj Sadar Upazila adjacent to Gopalganj town and Moulvipara, Bankpara, Khatra, Ghosherchar, Nabinbagh and Miapara of Gopalganj poura area on October 15 last.

The devastating storm began at 8 PM on October 15 and continued upto 5 AM on October 16. As a result, huge kutcha houses and trees were damaged and fell down. The electric poles were uprooted and electrity was stopped till writing this report.
