According to the newspaper reports, about 2000 people died at the time of taking in police custody between 2003 and 2005. Of them, 45 percent are whites, 30 pc are non-whites and 25 percent are Spanish.

Death in police custody happens sometimes in our country, but death at the time of taking into custody is rare. In last three years, however, there are few hundred cases of death in cross-firing. Whenever a man dies in Bangladesh in police custody, the human right organisations and the US State Department raise hue and cry and advise to behave properly.

Now what will they say about the death of 2000 people in the USA in three years at the time of taking into custody?

President Hu Jin Tao should be praised as much as possible for his open confession of massive corruption in the ruling Chinese Communist Party (the communist governments do not tolerate oppositions). He also said that the government must solve some major problems facing the people.

These relate to employment, social security, income distribution, education, public health and housing. One thing is clear that man is prone to wrong doing. If environment gives opportunity, he may indulge in corruption as in China.

We never heard of corruption in that country as long as the Communist Party was true to Marxism and denounced open market policy. It is really hard to check corruption and solve some major problems as outlined above under capitalistic economy.

The world knows that China has achieved tremendous progress in her national economy and has stored the highest foreign exchange reserve in the world. But the income between the north and the west is day by day widening, which may someday or other summon social revolution as explained by Karl Marx, Lenin and Mao Tse Tung.

The difference with us is that our governments in the past did not want to admit there were corruptions in their regime.
