CPDCC distributes reflecting stickers for avoiding accidents

Community Policing District Coordination Commitee (CPDCC) started distributing the reflecting stickers among the van drivers and rickshaw pullers in the district aimed at avoiding road accidents at night

Police Super Saleh Mohamad Tanvir inaugurated the programme on the premises of his office of the town here on Friday night by using some stickers on the bodies of the vans and rickshaws. Additional Police Super M. Anisur Rahman, convenor of CPDCC M. Abdus Salam and member secretary Advocate Sekendar Azam Anam were also present on the occasion.

Talking to BSS, Police Super Saleh Mohammad Tanvir said most of the vans and rickshaws do not have lamps causing road accidents are increasing at night In order to avoid the road accidents at night CPDCC has taken up this step, he also said.

The reflecting stickers used on the bodies of the vehicles would be glitered at night that would help the van drivers, rickshaw pullers and passengers to avoid accidents on the road, he further said.

Initially, as many as 5000 stickers would be distributed among the drives to use those on the bodies particularly back side of their vehicles, he further added.
