Geeti Ara for proper coordination in flood rehabilitation BSS, Rajbari Adviser for Social Welfare, Women and Children Affairs Geeti Ara Safiya Chowdhury on day underscored the need for maintaining proper coordination for bringing success in the flood rehabilitation activities. "The government is providing allout support to the flood victims as they can overcome their losses as soon as possible," she said this while exchanging views with officials of the district and members of the civil society in the conference room of the deputy commissioner here. The view-exchange meeting was organised to review the progress of the relief and rehabilitation programmes in the district The adviser asked the concerned officials to ensure the supply of fertilisers, seeds, loan and agri-inputs as the farmers can get those in time. The participants in the meeting drew atention of the adviser to the different problems of the district, including river erosion and supply of fertiliser as per demand. The adviser assured them of taking necessary measures in this regard. Geeti Ara distributed Taka 4.50 lakh among 90 flood-affected people for constriction of houses, agriculture inputs among 10 flood-hit farmers and food items among 170 flood victims at Uzanchar UP complex under Goalonda upazila here. Earlier, the adviser visited Rajbari Government Shishu Paribar (Girl) and distributed sewing machines among 25 trained women.
