Inaugural ceremony to distribute the vegetables saplings among the flood affected area organised by Bangladesh Agricultural Institute (BARI) was held at Institution's premises presided over by the Director General, BARI Dr. Haroon-or-Rashid on Saturday at 2 PM.

Adviser of Agricultural Ministry Dr. C.S. Karim spoke as the chief guest at the function. He narrated the real picture of Bangladesh Agricultural sectors and conditions of the flood affected people. He also said in his speech that patriat joint forces members helped helpless people and faced manifold problems taking participation for developing the rehabilitation programme of the flood affected people throughout the country.

He praised worthy about welfare activities of patriat Army in our country. So, Dr Karim called upon all scientists of BARI to be devoted for developing Agriculture Research work and advised them to discover new new latest technology for growing more food through out the country.

Besides, NDC, Secretary of Agricultural Ministry M Abdul Aziz, Deputy Commissioner in Gazipur Sayed Mizanur Rahman, Director, Horticulture Central, Research Centre in BARI, Md. Muzammel Haque and the chief scientific officer Md. Abdur Rashid delivered the speech as special guests at the function. After inaugural session chief guest distribute vegetables plants among the flood affected farmers in Gazipur.

It is noted, In charge of Army Camp in Gazipur, Police Super including elite were present at the function.
